Course: Old Thorns Golf Club

Old Thorns is a challenging 18 hole chapionship course located near the Griggs Green turn off from the A3. Iv'e played this course numerous amounts of times and it has always been in great condition greens true & faiways well manicured. There are a couple of holes here which you will never forget such as the 5th which is an elevated tee medium par 4 with a water hazard guarding the green to the left and woodland to the right, the view of the surrounding forest is amazing from up there a must see. Also the 15th springs to mind shoooting uphill a short par 4 which plays long as there is a 2 tier elevated green hiding behind a dogleg to the left which makes for a great hole. All in all a real challennging round but very rewarding, there has recently been a big revamp on all the facilities as well.
