Course Review

Having pick Abergele from the website, I personally had difficulty using the Clubs online booking as I wasn't able to enter that I had a Green Free voucher. After an email directly to the club, I received a prompt call back and was able to reserve the tee time over the phone. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and found the club to be very friendly towards visitors. If your in need of a buggy to get around, rest assured they had plenty available at a resonable additional cost to the green fee. Given the considerable amount of rain the area had received in September, the course was in suprisingly good condition. The fairways were immaculate and even if you were a little off line, there was enough rough to make your recovery a challenge without making it impossible. If you found one of their bunkers, a decent depth of sand made it possible to play out of with ease. The greens were not "Augusta" difficult but subtle breaks certainly made them interesting. They were in pretty good condition and firm although all they had a sand topping on that did affect putting. The course is easy to get around with excellent signage directing you to the next hole and made all the more enjoyable with nearly every hole having a sight of the castle. All in all, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyable playing at Abergele. Fantastic Club, excellent facilities, lovely course. If your in the area, you should definately give Abergele a look, you will not be disappointed. Mark (15hdcp) , Simmy (32hdcp)
