Description: Braemar is the highest course in Britain, set in stunning scenery in the heart of Glen Clunie. Nestling in the upper reaches of Royal Deeside, it offers a first class test to the visitor with some very tricky par 3's and greens said to be the best in the area.

This is a beautiful wee course; it has the river Clunie meandering through it and a few OOBs that can catch you out. I love the 2nd hole, where getting your tee shot in the right position is key to scoring; then an accurate 2nd shot is a must. There are also some par 3's that you can't afford to take for granted either. The clubhouse has good changing facilities and nice hot showers which is a plus before driving home. The bar is very friendly and offers good golf club food in "post round" portions at fair prices. The location is not that far off the beaten track as some might think.It is only 1.5 hours north of Perth, so it can be done in a day from the central belt. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed............unless you try between November and March when the club is closed for the winter.
