Description: The present course was construced in 1929 by the well-known firm of Hawtree and J.H. Taylor. Although only yards from the sea the course is not a links but a very fertile grassland made difficuly by the prevailing westerly wind. From the elevated sections of the course the views across Morecambe Bay to the North, east and magnificent.
